Colombia: Dead - FARC leader with a $5m bounty on his head

After nearly five decades of war, the Colombian government appears to have dealt a major blow to FARC, the Marxist rebel group.

Defence ministry sources said the group's top commander, Alfonso Cano, was killed in a military raid on Friday.

Cano, who became FARC's leader in 2008, had a $5m bounty on his head.

Al Jazeera's Roger Wilkison reports.
