Macedonia: Macedonia proves it can hold fair elections

Macedonia showed it has capacity to hold fair and democratic elections. This is what VMRO-DPMNE candidate for President George Ivanov said, Sitel reports.

“We showed Macedonia can reach European values, that Macedonians deserve to live through European dream and that the country deserves to be part of NATO and EU,” he poited.
Ivanov thanked both to the citizens, who had voted for him and the one who had voted for the others.

“We showed high level of state culture. Citizens unified around the idea elections, which will be recommendation to EU, to be held,” he pointed.

Ivanov appealed to the citizens to vote at the second round and to elect president.
It is expected Lubomir Frackovski /Social Democratic Union of Macedonia/ to be his opponent at the run off vote on April 5, television informs.
