Child Abuse: A child maybe at risk please help find this key witness

I have received the following email from CEOP (Child Exploitation and On-line Protection Centre.) and although the blog is closed for the holiday season, I did state it would reopen if any important issue arose - this is such an occasion. As required, I have published the email in full - including the use of the subject line as the post title.

A CHILD MAY BE AT RISK: PLEASE HELP US FIND THIS KEY WITNESS

Classification: NOT PROTECTIVELY MARKED//

Dear Colleague,

It is very rare that police at the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre make a direct appeal like this. However we have exhausted all other channels and really need your help. Do you know this man? Do your friends, families, work colleagues know this man?

He could be a key witness who could hold that final piece of information that ultimately could allow us to find and rescue a young child from abuse. This picture was taken at 0630 in an Asda Store in Doncaster and we believe he may travel far and wide throughout the UK and may have links to the Midlands. Do you know him?

He may not even realise himself that he could help us but he really could hold that vital final piece of the jigsaw.

We stress he is a potential witness and not a suspect. He is described as white, 30 to 40 years old and 5ft 8in to 6ft tall. He is of a medium to stocky build with short closely cropped brown hair, which has receded and we are desperate to find him.

If you have any information, know him or his whereabouts then please contact us on 0800 546 0030 or email operation.vicuna@ceop.gsi.gov.uk. You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Alternatively, visit us at www.ceop.gov.uk where you can see CCTV footage and all contact details.

So please if you do know him or can help get in touch or forward this email to as many of your friends as possible. Help us find this key witness and potentially, rescue a young child from abuse.

Thank you for your support
