Central Europe: V4 countries launch Central European Forum

Czech news agency CTK yesterday reported that the Visegrad Four (V4) group countries has established a Central European Forum.

The forum, that will function as a part of the Olomouc Arts Museum, will gather arts collections dating from the beginning of the mid-20th century.

Along with Czech Culture Minister Vaclav Jehlicka, the founding decree was signed by the state secretaries of the other Visegrad Four countries of Poland, Slovakia and Hungary.

The V4 group was formed in 1991 in Visegrad, Hungary by Poland,Czechoslovakia and Hungary with the aim of strengthening cooperation among member countries. After the split of Czechoslovakia into two successor states, the group was renamed V4.
