International Relations: No problems between Russia and Georgia claims Ambassador

According to Vyacheslav Kovalenko, Russian Ambassador to Georgia, there are no unsettled problems between Russia and Georgia, but there is a will to build good neighbourly relations.

Speaking at a news conference in Tbilisi on Tuesday, he said Russia does not question Georgia's sovereignty and independence and its territorial integrity, provided that the lawful interests of the peoples living there are respected.

"In other words, Russia would like to see Georgia as an independent, sovereign and neutral country maintaining relations with all countries, and, of course, good neighbourly relations with Russia".
