Marks and Spencer discover the bleeding obvious

The beleaguered Marks & Spencer, will review the contracts of their floor staff after coming up with an innovative and highly radical idea - to ensure stores are fully staffed at peak times such as weekends.

At present, many staff have contracts which do not require them to work at weekends, which means stores are often manned by less experienced staff at their busiest sales periods.

Considering one of the many complaints about M&S, is that by the time you get served, the clothes you want to buy are out of date, this may be a good idea. Sometimes a touch of the "bleeding obvious" works far better than finding strategies to fit the latest buzz words.

It's hard enough to get people to go into Marks & Spencer in the first place, without holding them prisoner because of lack of staff.
