Ukraine: Iran concerned over increase of violence in Ukraine

Tehran, May 3, IRNA – Foreign Ministry Spokesperson expressed concern over intensification of conflicts in the eastern area of Ukraine and called for peaceful settlement of the problem.

Marziyeh Afkham called the issue an internal problem, but added that, undoubtedly, continuation of conflicts and expansion of violence toward other areas will make situation more complicated and getting access to a sustainable solution will be more difficult.

Afkham underlined that Iran wants establishment of peace and tranquility in the whole region, especially in Ukraine.

Ukrainian security forces attack from air and land on Friday morning in the region of Slavyansk killed at least 3 persons and injured ten. Three Ukrainian military helicopters were also shot down.
