Iran: Supreme Leader Advisor - Muslims should boycott US goods

Tehran, Sept 21, IRNA – Advisor to the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution in a commemoration ceremony for war martyrs said that Muslims should boycott US goods.

Retired Lieutenant General Yahya Rahim Safavi said that Iran is under economic pressures by hegemonic powers and those arrogant powers such as the USA and the Zionist regime, that supported Saddam Hussein regime during eight-year-long imposed war against Iran, now are imposing economic sanctions against Iran.

He added that those states increased oil production of certain countries, so that buyers do not buy Iran's oil and boycott buying Iranian oil.

Referring to enemies' new conspiracy in insulting Muslim sanctities, the general said that the defamation caused protests of world Muslim and all freedom lovers were touched and grieved.

When enemies faced with Islamic awakening and felt that a civilized pole by the name of 'Islamic world' was emerging before liberal democracy culture, they tried to humiliate Muslims, but they did not know that one billion and 600 million Muslim population are angry and would confront with this move.

The advisor to the supreme leader reminded that Muslims, by boycotting US goods can show their hatred toward defamation to sanctities and by closure of embassies of the Zionist regime and the USA show that they are able to hurt them by their unity.

He added that insult to Prophet Mohammad is as insult to all prophets, including Jesus Christ and Moses and Muslims will certainly react firmly.
