Bahrain: Bahraini Shiite Muslims write letter to Iran's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

Manama, April 7, IRNA - A group of Bahraini Shiite Muslims who are followers of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei sent a letter of complaint to the Ayatollah, asking for his support and blessings.

The letter, a copy of which was provided to IRNA on Wednesday, read: We are a group of Bahriani Shiite Muslims who follow your Excellency in religious matters and consider your ways and traditions as our ultimate reasoning and have now brought you our complaints from the suppressions by the Al-Khalifa.

It continued: Pressures on us are now overwhelming as our brothers, sisters and our families get killed in front of our eyes with no one hearing our cries.

The Bahraini Shiites further asked Ayatollah Khamenei to pray for them because they were “sure that your prayers will be heard and we have no one else to go to explain our sufferings.”

In the letter, they also called on the Supreme Leader to help his Bahraini followers and people in any way he counsels.

'We are in pain and have nothing but resistance and readiness for martyrdom' to help us, the Shiites declared.
