Iran: Ahmadinejad - Precise plan needed to activate entire Iran-Azerbaijan potentials for cooperation

Tehran, March 8, IRNA – IRI president said here Monday Islamic Republic of Iran and Republic of Azerbaijan have brotherly ties and these ties would last for good.

According to the Presidential Office information website, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made the comment in a meeting with the visiting foreign minister of Azerbaijan Monday, adding that the existing potentials for bilateral expansion of ties are unique.

He reiterated, “Relying on precise and technically faultless programming we can activate the entire existing potentials at the service of the two nations.”

The president referred to the importance of strengthening relations between the two nations, reiterating, “Iran and Azerbaijan must besides paying attention to the need for the expansion of business and economic relations, broaden the two nations’ relations, too, more than ever before.”

The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, too, pointing out that his country attaches great importance to its relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, reiterated, “Iran and Azerbaijan, as two Muslim neighboring countries, must have greater cooperation and much closer ties with each other.”
He meanwhile emphasized the need for strengthening relations in oil and gas fields.
