Middle East: Netanyahu to visit Cairo

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will travel to Egypt for talks with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak before the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah (New Year) next week.

It is expected that the talks would also cover Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit's case, halting the construction of settlements, and re-launching the peace process.

Netanyahu's trip will follow talks in Cairo over the weekend by Hamas political leader Khaled Meshaal.
