Turkey: Four dead in land mine explosion

Today's Zaman reports a truck carrying road and dam construction workers hit a land mine in southeast Turkey on Monday, killing four people and injuring nine, the local governor's office said.

The office for the governor of Şırnak province, near the border with Iraq, said the mine was believed to have been laid by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) terrorists who are fighting for autonomy in southeast Turkey.
