Egypt: Egyptian security services arrest suspect in connection with the kidnapping of IDF soldier

Arutz Sheva reports Egyptian security services arrested a suspect in connection with the kidnapping of IDF soldier Gilad Shalit, JPost reported in the name of sources close to Hamas.

The suspect, 22 year old Ahmed Atta, is a university student in Gaza. His father previously served as an imam and is wanted by Egypt's General Intelligence Service on suspicion of membership in a radical Islamic organization and plotting terrorist attacks in Egypt.

Egyptians security officials believe that Atta is linked Shalit’s kidnappers or knows where he is being held.
