Gaza: Israel relents to let aid through to Gaza - but only for a short time

KUNA reports the Israeli authorities Monday ordered that aid be allowed to cross into Gaza through the Karem abu Salem and Al-Mintar (Karni) for a limited period of time.

Gaza official responsible for entry of goods and aid Raed Fattouh told local radios that some 75 trucks would pass the first crossing carrying supplies presented by the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and other humanitarian organizations operating in the strip.

He pointed out this includes a truck donated by the private sector carrying cleaning and sanitation supplies in addition to staples like rice, sugar, pasta, cooking oil and baby food and supplies.
