Women's Issues: Saudi businesswomen still being asked for male guardian despite 2004 ruling

Arabian Business reorts prominent businesswomen in Saudi Arabia are joining forces to ensure more female entrepreneurs are able to set up companies in the kingdom.

They claim a 2004 ministerial decision to allow Saudi women to set up businesses without a male guardian is not being implemented fairly and are demanding changes.

Businesswomen are reporting that they are still being asked for a male guardian and that the 2004 ruling is only implemented in a few regions of the country.
