Sudan: Bashir - aid groups are all theives

Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has defended his decision to expel 13 aid agencies working in the war-ravaged Darfur region, calling the groups thieves.

Speaking to a rally of supporters Saturday in Khartoum, Mr. Bashir accused the groups of stealing 99 percent of the aid money sent to Darfur.

Sudan revoked the licenses of 13 major non-governmental aid agencies, after the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for President Bashir Wednesday for alleged war crimes in Darfur.

Sudan's government has denied the accusations.
