Iraq: 1.5 million Iraqi war widows despair

Conflict and instability have created a new group in the Iraqi society war widows. There are 1.5 million of them, and the budget allocated for aid has been drastically cut.

The lack of resources to help widows has forced the minister in charge of women's affairs to resign in protest.
