Bilateral Relations: Iran and Singapore discuss expanding ties

IRNA reports Iran and Singapore explored ways of boosting cooperation. During a meeting with Iran’s visiting ambassador to the country Mohsen Omid Zamani, Singapore’s Minister of Foreign Affairs George Yeo discussed ways of further expanding the existing ties between the two countries.

Referring to Iran’s grand historical records, he stressed on attempts to consolidate bilateral relations and believed interaction between universities and student circles of the two countries would act as a bridge to further connect the two nations.

The Iranian diplomat stressed the minimal impact of the present world economic crisis on Iran and said conditions were apt in Iran for Singapore's merchants to make investments in the country.
