Qatar: Qatar gives Israeli trade office seven days to leave

Qatar announced Sunday that it has given the staff of Israeli trade representation office a week to leave Doha, according to the Qatari news agency.

An official source at the Foreign Ministry was quoted as saying that the ministry on Sunday morning summoned the head of the Israeli trade representation office in Doha and handed him a formal note containing the Qatari decision to close down the office and banish its staff from the Gulf Arab country.

The unidentified source said the Israeli staff in Doha were given a maximum of seven days as of Sunday to leave Qatar, the only Gulf Arab state with commercial ties with Israel.
