Serbia: NATO offers closer ties with Serbia

Foreign minister’s at the NATO meeting in Brussels seeks to strengthen of relations with Serbia and have offered an Action Plan for for the Partnership for Peace to Serbia, Serbianna reports.

Foreign ministers stressed that they supported Serbia’s Euro-Atlantic integration citing the recent signing of the agreement between NATO and Serbia on security of information represented an important step in the right direction.

The ministers said they were prepared to continue the development of partnership, especially through the creation of an Individual Action Plan for partnership, in keeping with the principles of the Partnership for Peace.

Partnership with NATO remained open for Serbia through political consultation and practical cooperation, a document said.

NATO urged Serbia to influence the sides in Kosovo to refrain from violence.
NATO patted Serbia for arresting Radovan Karadzic and urged Belgrade to arrest Ratko Mladic.
