Bilateral Relations: Russian VP arrives in Cuba to assess damage

Russian Federation Vice-president Igor Ivanovich Sechin has arrived in Cuba as head of a delegation of Russian entrepreneurs to assess damage caused by Hurricanes Gustav and Ike.

Sechin told reporters: “the goal of our trip is to help the Cuban people palliate the consequences of the passing of the storms that have affected the island recently”.

The accompanying delegation is made up by Russian entrepreneurs and industry leaders that will assess in what way their help can benefit the Cuban people the most.
