Goodnight from Sydney:

I have received a number of requests, (to be honest, one actually but "one" is a number so I am technically correct according to the Daily Express Guide To Misleading Statements) to resurrect the "Goodnight From Sydney" posts that for a long time were a nightly feature of this blog.

It has not been easy recently to get my thoughts together for such a feature, but late this afternoon I went for a long walk along the Lane Cove river and through the extensive and beautifully located grounds of one our most expensive schools, (no I wasn't trespassing, there are notices from the Headmaster welcoming neighbours and friends to use the grounds).

There is a wharf I like to head towards and to get there I walk along a bush-track bordering the river. It is very popular with dog-walkers and sure enough, I came across a lady walking her beautiful cocker-spaniel. There was the usual jumping on my legs, licking my hand and giving me a stick and expecting me to do something with it. I wouldn't have minded but the dog was just as bad!

I continued until I came to the wharf. I hope the photo gives an idea of why I like to sit right at the end and just let my mind do whatever it wants to do.

Later tonight or tomorrow, there will be more photos on my other blog Sydney Irresistible
