The Grubs: Unseen, Unheard

Madeleine McCann's father Gerry has returned to the UK for a couple of days, where his first task was to thank British police officers who have been helping the search for his daughter.

He received a standing ovation at the annual Police Bravery Awards at the Dorchester Hotel in London, and said he and his wife Kate were now fully aware of the police's "sterling work".

And amidst the slapping of backs, the chinking of glasses and clapping of hands, the sound of weeping goes unheard as an unseen little girl with a box of wristbands and pretty yellow ribbons that should be in her hair and not for sale, asks with childish innocence - "Oh Father, why has thou forsaken me"
