Ah McCanns - you've done it again

Gerry McCann, this is a quote from your blog.

"We are assured that no criticism of our actions on the night Madeline disappeared was intended"

Just a small suggestion - you might want to consider getting your daughter's name right in future.

In most social and professional circles, misspelling the name of a person you know is considered somewhat of an insult, which is why most people take care to ensure names are spelled correctly, even if nothing else is.

Not only did you misspell Madeleine's name - you gave her a completely new one. I would have thought your negligence has caused your daughter enough harm without adding further insult to injury, by once again being negligent.

I know you are very busy man, what with travelling back and forth between Britain and Europe, giving media interviews, having meetings with press officers, media officers, and occasionally seeing the two children you so far haven't managed to lose, but may I ask you another question?

In relation to your whirlwind trip back to Britain to appoint a full-time campaign manager, UTV quoted a spokeswoman as saying, "He has purely come back for business meetings with the campaign organisers and others".

Don't you think the phrase "business meetings" is rather tacky when used in relation to finding a missing daughter? Damn. I must stop asking stupid questions of the McCanns, when I already know the answer.

Oh, before you go rushing of on another trip, probably to meet Nelson Mandela, Bono or that other great example of responsible parenting - Michael Jackson, I must say your blog gave me great pleasure. Take this quote for example,

"We take Sean and Amelie to Kids' Club. They really enjoy it and run in. They know the staff well and the staff are all excellent. Both love the domestic corner and Amelie particularly likes to look after ‘babies’. "

I am so glad. She can teach you and your wife how to do it..
