International Development: Ugandan flood victims finally get food relief

Victims of last December's floods in Uganda are finally being offered food relief by the disaster preparedness ministry. They have been offered 26 tonnes of posho and beans.

The district chairman, Mukoome Lukoya, told reporters that Ntunda and Kimenyedde sub-counties, which had lost food crops in the floods, would benefit.

Perhaps the department should consider dropping the word "preparedness" from its title.
