9/11: America was asking for it says Ward Churchill

Controversial professor Ward Churchill has told an audience at New York City's New School, that the United States is responsible for the 9/11 attacks, because of its support for Israel and the sanctions against Iraq.

In his two-hour speech titled, "Sterilizing History: The Fabrication of Innocent Americans," he alleged America was asking for the 9/11 attacks because of a historical pattern of mass murder.

Churchill, a tenured full professor of ethnic studies at the University of Colorado caused controversy after the 9/11 attacks by writing that many victims of the carnage were "little Eichmanns" - a reference to Nazi Adolf Eichmann -- because they worked for an evil nation.
