Construction: Saudi Arabia to build $8 billion economic city

AFP reports that Saudi Arabia has unveiled plans to build a northern economic city at a cost of $8 billion.

The city, announced by the Saudi king, is 720 kilometres (450 miles) north of Riyadh, and will be built over 10 years and host agricultural and mineral industries, an education zone and a residential area with 30,000 housing units.
