Goodnight from Sydney

Here is a nice little touchy-feely story to end the day (or start your day!).

The BBC has reported that a run-away pet tortoise managed to get 2.9 kilometres, (1.80 miles) away from home in the eight months since he made his dash for freedom.

Horace the Herman tortoise was spotted in the middle of a road on the outskirts of Cardiff by animal welfare inspector who then scanned his microchip and duly returned him to his thrilled owners.

According to my information, Horace's escape was witnessed by a group of visiting Australian trade unionists. A spokesman for the group said, "We went after him, but the little bugger was just too fast for us."

Wherever you may be - be safe!
