Human Resources: Much needed industrial reforms start in Australia

Much needed and long overdue employment law changes took effect in Australia today, aimed at increasing employment and giving employers almost the same protection as their over-paid and over-pampered employees.

The power of the almighty unions has been lessened by encouraging workers to sign individual contracts with employers, rather than group contracts. Employees will be stopped from launching unfair dismissal claims against small businesses.

Greg Combet, the president of the Australian Council of Trade Unions, told media, "This is not an economic strategy for Australia. This is just a major assault on workers' rights and it's a huge boost for big business."

Yes. Big business who employ your members and who until now, have had to endure the lack of work ethic so beloved by the great Australian Shirk-Force.
