Economy: South Koreas industrial output jumps 20%

South Korea's National Statistical Office, has announced that industrial output expanded 20 percent year-on-year in February after a 6.4 percent gain the previous month. The NSO attributed the gain to a low base a year earlier. Month-on-month, output contracted 4.4 percent in February.

A statement by the office said, "Production and consumption showed sluggish performance last month compared with a strong January but the overall sectors are still in an upward trend".
