Corporate Crime: Cuba jails six executives for embezzlement

The Cuban daily Juventud Rebelde, has reported that six former directors of the state-owned Communal Services Company, have been sentenced to prison terms ranging from six to 20 years for embezzlement.

The six were found to have taken more than half of the resources designated for buying plants for Holguin city. The company claimed it had bought nearly 1.6 million plants, but only 17% have actually been planted.
