Banking:Bangladesh Bank warns branches not to waste money on decorating

In a move that I am sure will please many victims of excessive bank charges, the Bangladesh Bank has again asked private commercial banks not to waste money on branch decoration. The banks were also warned that neither directors nor their relatives should spend excessively.

To make sure banks take heed of the warning, an inspections team will visit new branches to ensure decoration is not excessive.
