Goodnight from Sydney

Hot on the heels of the magnificent splendour of the now world famous, Lane Cove Christmas Tree, I bring you the opulence of Christmas in Chatswood, my neighbouring suburb.

I took this photo this morning but I could easily have used the same photo I took last year - or the year before - or the year before that. If you are looking for the Christmas Tree - don't bother, there isn't one.

I was going to show you the magnificent decorations that adorn Westfield shopping centre. However, I am not big on wreaths and their whole theme consists of strategically placed wreaths, all exactly the same design - and that's it.

However, we do have traditional Christmas songs blaring from PA systems. As you stroll through the shopping areas on a hot Sydney summer day, discreetly trying to separate your butt from you undies, you can listen to Frosty The Snowman, Let it snow, let it snow, Winter Wonderland and of course, White Christmas.

Wherever you may be - be safe!
