Work is fun: Some things are better unsaid!

Here are a few extracts from the 2000 archives of www.holdthefrontpage.co.uk .

They appear under the heading, "Metaphorically speaking" and are alleged to have been overheard in the newsroom. I can believe it too!

"They'll be pillowed in the press".

"It doesn't cover Wales, just the Welsh part of it".

"The feminists will rise up on their hind horses".

"This map's so old it's got Hadrian's Walk on it".

And my personal favourite:

"If you don't watch what you're saying, they'll have you saying that white is green and blue is blue".
