Industrial Relations: New Zealand and Australian unions ready to aid Tongan strikers

Trade unions in Australia and New Zealand are ready to help striking civil servants in Tonga, by providing financial, legal, technical and organising assistance.

The New Zealand Council of Trade Unions President, Ross Wilson, said: "the emerging union movement in Tonga can expect plenty of international support."

He will be talking to the Australian Council of Trade Unions, as they too have indicated a very strong willingness to assist.
