The Sydney Morning Herald reports that, Sami Habbas was sifting through his mail when he noticed a credit card offer addressed to "Palestinian Bomber".
The Palestinian American opened the letter, which began "Dear Palestinian Bomber."
"I thought it was a joke or something," Mr Habbas said.
He telephoned JPMorgan Chase, which sent the solicitation, and two operators addressed him the same way: "Yes, Mr Bomber, what can we do for you?"
The company say they are embarrassed by the incident.
