Entrepreneur: Never too young to start a business

An 8 year old girl in Maryland, has launched a craft shop where she sells decorated clay pots with silk flowers, stones, and marbles, each inscribed with an inspirational Christian message.

Following in the spirit of her mum who writes and designs Christian bookmarks, Ruth Booker says she wants to send the message that you can start a business at any age.

Recently I posted an article about a young lad in the UK who started his own airline. In a society where young adults are so often the victims of sweeping and often uninformed generalisations, it is good to see such entrepreneurial spirit is encouraged rather than being snuffed out by the demoralising, "You're too young to understand/do this" attitude that even in 2005, is still far too prevalent.
