Iran: President calls on Muslim states to send swift aid to Gazans

President Hassan Rouhani said on Tuesday that speedy shipment of aid to Gazans by Muslim countries is necessary.

In a phone call with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad on Tuesday, President Rouhani said regional conditions necessate closer cooperation and consultation between Iran and Qatar.

President Rouhani said silence against Gaza catastrophe is not wise and people of Gaza will not tolerate repetition of former tyrannical conditions and continuation of several years of siege.

Noting that all Muslims are in a big historical test, President Rohani urged unity and cooperation among Muslims to change living condition of the people of Gaza and attain durable ceasefire.

Bin Hamad for his part congratulated Iranian president on the auspices Eid-ul-Fitr (Fast breaking festival) and urged expansion of mutual cooperation.

ˈPalestinian resistance movement defends it own pride and no one can prohibit it from it,ˈ said the Qatari Emir.

The two sides reached agreement on contact for constant cooperation between foreign minister s of the two countries and planning for meeting of the heads of state of the two countries in the near future.
