Middle East: Iran, Kuwait keen to enhance bilateral ties

Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in a meeting in Kuwait underlined the need for the expansion of bilateral ties.

During the meeting in the Kuwait city on Tuesday, the Iranian deputy foreign minister and the Kuwaiti emir explored avenues for bolstering and reinvigorating of mutual cooperation.

Amir Abdollahian pointed to good and historical relations between Iran and Kuwait, and said, ˈWe hope that the mutual cooperation which is being followed up within the framework of joint committees will achieve acceptable and palpable results in the near future.ˈ

The Kuwaiti emir, for his part, said that his country pays heed to expansion of ties with the regional countries because it considers it in line with the interests of the regional countries.
