Tehran, Nov 12, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif underlined that the western states should attract confidence of the Iranian nation.

“West should win confidence of Iran,” Zarif told in a special interview with IRIB’s Channel Two on Monday night.

The Iranian foreign minister pointed to the trend of Iran-Group 5+1 talks, and said, “We have frankly told the westerners in New York that the policy of pressure has resulted increased nuclear activities of Iran.”

“We had 200 centrifuges 8 years ago, but the sanctions made us to have 19,000 centrifuges by now,” Zarif said.

The Iranian foreign minister unveiled the internal differences of sextet of the Group 5+1, and said, “Most of the time of the three-day negotiations was spent on internal talks of the Group 5+1 and their differences.”

Zarif estimated that Iran’s nuclear standoff with the west can be resolved in less than one year unless the West does not look for lame excuses.

“If there will be good will there will be no need to even one year. I said in New York that in the first step we can reach a general plan and when we reach the first step we will start working on details,” the Iranian foreign minister said.
