Ankara, Sept 7, IRNA – Iran and Turkey cooperation in transportation, especially on the railroad between Iran, Pakistan and Turkey is to expand.
In the meeting between Iran’s Minister of Road and Urban Planning Abbas Akhondi and Turkey’s Minister of Transport, Maritime and Communication Binali Yildirim here on Friday, the two sides underlined expansion of bilateral ties in transportation.
In the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the 11th International Conference of Transport, Maritime and Communication in Istanbul, Turkey, Akhundi and Yildirim agreed on expansion of railroad network between Pakistan, Iran and Turkey.
The two sides also considered drivers problems, especially on entering points of border between Iran and Turkey and decided that facilities be provided for vehicles.
The two ministers also underlined necessity of dialogue between the two countries to strengthen ties between the two ministries.
Details of the agreements between the two ministers will be considered next month in Ankara in the meeting of transportation committees session.
