Tehran, May 7, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Ministers of Cuba and Iran, by expressing pleasure with expanding trend of mutual ties, underlined strengthening bilateral cooperation on international arena.

Rogelio Sierra Diaz, in a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister in Europe and American affairs Ali Asghar Khaji here on Monday, underlined Iran's right to use peaceful nuclear energy and condemned dual standard behavior of a number of countries with the issue.

Khaji said behavior of a number of western countries with concepts such as human rights and their support for them in Syria is a clear indication of paradox in their policies.

The two senior diplomats also considered international developments, political trends in Latin America and the Middle East and underlined necessity of observing principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, not interfering in domestic affairs of other countries and paying attention to people's demands.
