Tehran, Jan 28, IRNA – A member of Majlis said here Monday that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's upcoming visit to Cairo is a good opportunity for Iran to further boost relations with Islamic states, including Egypt.
Iranian President is to fly to Cairo on February 6 to take part in the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit.
Ebrahim Aqa Mohammadi, a member of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, told IRNA that Iran attaches importance to expansion of ties with Egypt.
Promotion of Tehran-Cairo ties would play a leading role in regional developments, the MP said.
