Opinion: Libya - Eyeing up the fine china

The haste of world leaders and world bodies to embrace and curry favor with the new so called "interim" government in Libya, has been akin to watching distant relatives saying all the right things whilst eyeing up the Royal Doulton at a funeral.

And just where did ordinary Libyans suddenly get hold of thousands of Turkish flags? Watching the flag waving adulation was reminiscent of the famous ploy by "information warrior" John Rendon of the Rendon group, to provide thousands of Kuwaitis with U.S flags to wave enthusiastically - even if they didn't have a clue why.

It's a pity Cameron and Sarkozy, couldn't spare five minutes of their time to remember the innocent civilians killed by their bombs and bullets, not just during the uprising, but also the many preceding years.
