IRNA -- Substitute Friday prayers leader of Tehran Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami says Saudi occupiers will leave Bahrain with humiliation and a dark record.
Delivering his second Friday prayers sermon here at Tehran University campus, Ayatollah Khatami said, “One should not have the least doubt in al-Khalifa’s (Bahraini ruler’s) vanishing. The rulers who pile up pressure on the public mercilessly will not definitely remain.”
Ayatollah Khatami, who is a member of the Experts Assembly, said in an address to the Bahraini people, “Rest assured that dictators will go away as the dictator king (of Iran) and Saddam (of Iraq) fled from Iran and Iraq. The Saudi occupiers are busy committing crimes in Bahrain mercilessly – the crimes that do not go with any legal regulation.”
He said physicians and nurses are immune, even if serving the enemy’s injured. However, Saudi occupiers in Bahrain arrest, punish and jail physicians and nurses, he added.
The Ayatollah said Bahrain is today in deplorable condition because those participating in peaceful demonstrations there are sentenced to capital punishment or long-term imprisonment.
Praising resistance of the people of Bahrain, Ayatollah Khatami said the people demand nothing beyond their rights.
He advised Bahraini people to continue resistance until final victory.
