Iran: Bahraini charge d’affaires summoned

IRNA - Foreign Ministry’s Department of Social Affairs summoned the Bahraini charge d’affaires to protest the ruling issued by the country military court on an Iranian national.

According to a report by the ministry’s Information and Press Bureau, head of the department objected to the way the Iranian national had been arrested and tried, without notifying the Iranian Embassy in Manama.

The Iranian official called on the Bahraini diplomat to immediately reflect the issue to his government and announce the names of the Iranians detained in that country.

He also urged him to make an appointment for the Iranian consul in Manama to meet the detained individuals.
