Iran: Ahmadinejad meets Turkish Prime Minister behind closed doors before departure

Istanbul, May 10, IRNA – IRI President met and conferred at his residence with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Teyyip Erdogan behind closed door after his press conference and before departing for Tehran Monday night.

According to the IRNA dispatched reporter, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in his first trip abroad in the Iranian New Year (1390 – started on March 20th) gave an address at the opening ceremony of the LDC conference.

The IRI President after his address had meetings with the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul, as well as the presidents of Afghanistan, Benin, and the Comoros Island, exchanging viewpoints on various international and regional issues.
The president also attended a press conference before his departure Monday night and replied to the questions posed by Iranian and foreign reporters.

President Ahmadinejad’s last program on his day-log schedule in Turkey was a private meeting at his residence with Turkey’s Prime Minister Recep Teyyip Erdogan.
