Moldova: Hundreds of thousands of children abandoned by parents

Human rights groups in Moldova are warning that economic migration from the country is leading to a generation of lost children.

It is estimated that in country of four million people, several hundreds of thousands of children have been left behind by parents looking for work outside the country.

There are concerns the children will suffer emotional problems which will resurface in later life.

Al Jazeera's Laurence Lee reports from Chisinau in Moldova.
