Iran: Iran builds vocational school in Afghanistan

IRNA -Iran has built a vocational school in the Afghanistan city of Bamian and donated it to the Afghanistan Education Ministry on Tuesday.

Afghanistan Education Minister Farook Wardak praised Iran’s assistance in building educational centers and said that the vocational school is working in the fields of construction, electricity, food industry, handicrafts and agriculture.

Iran’s Ambassador to Kabul Fada Hossein Maleki, who was present in the donation ceremony of school, said that the axis of every country development is education.

Referring to the role of unity and coordination among different religious and ethnic groups, Maleki said countries can reach the peak of progress by having unity.

The Iranian diplomat also referred to the construction of rail road between Iranian city of Khaf to Afghan city of Herat and called the project an infra-structure project and said through this rail road Afghanistan would be able to trade with world through Iranian ports.

He also said the feasibility study on construction of rail road between Herat and Mazar-Sharif and its connection to the Central Asian rail road network is being done.
