Haiti: Haiti's abandoned children - video report finds out what happened to children US missionaries tried to take out of Haiti

Much attention has been paid to the plight of children in Haiti in the weeks that followed the 8.8 magnitude earthquake that hit with force on January 12.

Thirty-three of them captured world headlines after US missionaries tried to take them out of the country, saying they were setting up an orphanage in neighbouring Dominican Republic.

The Americans were caught at the border and put on trial in Haiti, just one of the missionaries remains in jail.

In this exclusive report Al Jazeera's Steve Chao finds out what happened to the children involved.
